Iwan Roos is a hobby Bonsai cultivator in Schoonhoven, east of Rotterdam. At his Bonsai nursery I am working on questions concerning Bonsai as an art form.
What is it exactly that motivates Iwan and me to grow miniature trees in pots? Is it working with nature, an interest in Japanese culture, or is it just a weird disease?
My mind is open to all kinds of media to explore Bonsai. I will be working with video, photo, sculpture and drawing.
